January 2023 Signature Artist Member of the Month:Â Mark Fehlman of San Diego, CA
Mark Fehlman practiced as an architect for 35 years, as the design partner for a San Diego based architectural firm before transiting to his second career as a fine artist. Mark is equally comfortable in figurative and landscape subjects that feature strong composition, well-defined value relationships and vibrant color. He has regularly been invited to be an artist in the Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational. Mark has received numerous awards for his work, including the 2014 Grand Prize in LPAPA’s annual Best of Plein Air juried show, the Award of Excellence in the 2021 Laguna Invitational, and the Irvine Museum Award in the 2022 Laguna Invitational.
