Deadline for Artists to Commit to paint postcard: Monday January 2, 2023, by 11:59 pm
Deadline to Submit Painted Postcard Image: Friday January 27, 2023, by 5:00 pm
Postcard Art Auction Dates: 10:00 am Monday Jan 31st to 8:00 pm Thursday Feb 2nd
Gallery Show Opening Reception: Thursday February 2nd, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
All LPAPA Signature, Artist, and Student Members are invited to participate in the 4th Annual LPAPA Strong Painted Postcard Auction. The annual painted postcard fundraiser is open to all subject matters, all mediums, painted on a 5″ x 7″ postcard. This year we’re asking our artists to paint their postcards in advance of the Auction ending so that we can exhibit the painted postcards at the LPAPA Gallery, allowing auction participants and gallery visitors to enjoy seeing the LPAPA Strong Painted Postcard Art and bid on their favorite(s)! LPAPA’s goal is to raise funds to support the Artists and LPAPA, as well as showcase a special art exhibition at the LPAPA Gallery!
Please register to paint a postcard before midnight Monday January 2nd through the link below. After you register, LPAPA will send a postcard kit for you to use to paint an original 5″ x 7″ painted postcard on the paintable Canson postcard provided (or on a 5″ x 7″ panel with the postcard affixed to the back).
Next, as soon as you have completed your painted postcard masterpiece, submit an image of the front and back of your postcard painting before 5:00 pm on Friday January 27th, then arrange to get your original postcard to the LPAPA Gallery by 1:00 pm on Tuesday January 31st or sooner.
