Join LPAPA Signature Artist Debra Huse in Newport Beach, California, for a 3-Day “Anchors Aweigh!” Boat Painting Workshop. Debra Huse not only has a boat but often paints from it. Boats have so many angles! Make it simple. Learn about boating terms- bow, stern, cockpit, mast, boom, port, starboard, galley, saloon, head, staterooms, before the mast, running with the wind, lines not ropes, painter line, dinghy, sabot, catamaran, single screw, twin screw, helm, bootstripe, waterline, on the hard, listing, & tacking— the list goes on & on! Sailboats and ships can be modern or historic. What color is in the sun? In the shadow? How to paint the reflection? What will the sea or harbor water look like? Distant land masses. American Flags. We will paint together, you will learn the ins & outs of painting boats. Anchor’s Aweigh! Even learn what that term really means. Get Debra’s “Boats Notes”. Paint a harbor regatta. Plein air optional. Photos available.
