The entry fee is $35 for the first 2 paintings submitted. All submitting LPAPA Signature, Artist or Student Members will receive a $5 LPAPA Loyalty Rewards credit to their LPAPA-Portal.org account at the end of the show. Not a Member? You can join online!
Award Winners: (cash award winners to be announced on May 4, 2023). The 1st Place award-winning artist will also receive a coveted “golden ticket” to participate in LPAPA’s 25th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational, October 7 -14, 2023. Read the full prospectus for details.
The LPAPA Gallery is located at 414 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, California. Gallery hours are Thursday through Monday, 11AM to 5PM (First Thursday Art Walk gallery reception 6PM to 9PM). The Online Preview Auction referenced above will open at 80% of the full retail price for the painting with $10 bid increments. LPAPA underwrites the auction so the artists will receive their full 50% of the full retail price regardless of the final auction sales price. The preview auction includes a “buy now” option at the full retail price. Unless other arrangements are made through LPAPA by the Collector, gallery paintings sold through the Auction and through the Gallery will be exhibited as sold with red dots then shipped or held for pick up after the gallery show ends. Paintings sold through the auction or gallery of the Semi-Finalist paintings will be shipped by the artist directly to the Collector or to the LPAPA Gallery based on LPAPA’s instruction to the artist. Shipping fees to or from the LPAPA Gallery, and in the case of the Semi-Finalists to the Collector, is at the Artist’s expense.
Proceeds generated through the sale of artwork benefit the participating artists and nonprofit Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA). LPAPA’s mission is dedicated to painting the landscape, preserving Laguna’s artistic legacy, and promoting the plein air painting tradition. LPAPA strives to enhance the livelihood of its artist members through education and opportunity, and inspire the next generation of plein air painters to continue the outdoor painting tradition!
