The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) invites all of its artist members, patrons, family and friends, and the entire Laguna Beach community, to join our 2nd Annual World Arts Day Celebration on April 15th! On this day we recognize and celebrate our Laguna Beach community of artists, arts organizations, art educators, art businesses, galleries and all members of our community who participate and support the arts in Laguna Beach. LPAPA is inviting everyone to come to the LPAPA Gallery to “Make Your Mark” on our Community Canvas Project at the LPAPA Gallery and enjoy a walk through Heisler Park and watch as the Laguna Plein Air Artists create their masterpieces in the open air!
LPAPA Members will gather in Laguna Beach at Heisler Park (from dawn to dusk) for an All-Member Paint Out celebrating plein air painting and the arts! The public is invited to come watch as they paint. LPAPA Members can register to participate in the Paint Out (and bring a non-member guest painter with them) by clicking HERE.
During the day, be sure to include a stop at the LPAPA Gallery! LPAPA will once again host an interactive “Make Your Mark” painting experience at the LPAPA Gallery (11AM to 5PM), inviting everyone of all ages to come by to add a paint stroke to our painting in progress designed and laid in by LPAPA Signature Artist Rick J. Delanty. Last year’s community painting designed and laid in by LPAPA Signature Artist Anthony Salvo shown above, was created with the collaborative brushstrokes of 52 individuals! LPAPA Artists will be at the LPAPA Gallery to assist with making your mark on our “community canvas” and guiding visitors throughout the day on becoming contributing artists for the painting in progress! Everyone who stops by the LPAPA Gallery to “make their mark” for World Arts Day with a brushstroke will be entered in a drawing to win an original painting! This is a free interactive art event, but donations in support of our nonprofit’s Mission are gratefully accepted!
The LPAPA Gallery is located at 414 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, on gallery row between Jasmine and Myrtle Streets. Gallery hours are Thursday through Monday, 11 am to 5 pm, and by appointment on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
