Register to join LPAPA Signature Artist Michele Usibelli for this intense and fun filled 3-Day Virtual Plein Air Painting Workshop focused on “Bringing Paintings to Life!”, Tuesday April 27, Wednesday April 28, and Tuesday May 4, 2021; 10:00 am – 12:00 noon PST. The live-streamed classes will include 2 days focused on plein air painting demonstrations of an urban and marina view with Michele live talking through her demo, explaining her process, her palette and answering your questions. Each lesson will include an abbreviated lecture on the fundamentals of sound painting, a discussion of drawing, value, design and color, plus live (and lively!) Q&A sessions. Students will be provided with photos and lesson recordings to use as reference to create their own paintings to submit for Michele’s critique. The third and final lesson will focus on critiquing student’s submitted work, open discussion and Q&As. Participants will receive exclusive unlimited access to all lesson recordings.

Michele’s background and career in architecture and her extensive background in drawing, enables her to explain, and show through her demonstrations, the complete painting process from initial conception, to design to paint application. Her students leave her workshops with a solid understanding of composition, design, color theory, the importance of value & temperature shifts and the significance hard and soft edges play in creating a successful painting. Another important element Michele brings to her workshops is the ability to use one’s plein air experience to enhance an artist’s studio work, focusing on the lessons learned from painting from life and how these lessons translate to the studio.
