Join LPAPA Signature Artist John Budicin for a 5-day Open Air Italy Plein Air Painting Workshop for oil and acrylic painters. Master artist and teacher, John Budicin, is teaching for five full days. There is one free day for exploration, painting on your own, or just chilling out! The workshop is open to all levels, but, students should have basic knowledge of how to set up and transport their equipment.
The essence of Budicin’s teaching in this workshop will be how to simplify and unify shapes and values. This is step one. Step two: introduce the light source. Step 3: keep the light consistent and do not chase it as you work toward completing the painting.
In John’s own words – “Learning to see and respond to what nature presents us with and translating that into a personal statement will be our focus. Design will be an important part. Simply stated, ‘design is good taste’. I can only show you my approach. I don’t want to have you paint as I do. I want you to develop your own way of seeing. Paint what you see, but mostly paint what you feel!”
The workshop is open to a maximum of 8 participants in order to allow highly individualized attention, regardless of the student’s level of painting expertise! John will demonstrate in oil, but the workshop is suitable for oil and acrylic.
