Get ready for the most heart-pounding exhilarating event of the Invitational! The Quick Draw is a thrilling, fast-paced immersion into the world of live plein air painting. Watch as blank canvases transform into finished masterpieces right before your eyes.
Here is how the day unfolds:
Part 1: The Competition (Heisler Park, 1PM-3PM)
Watch the Race Against the Clock
Witness all 30 world-class Laguna Plein Air Invitational Artists set up their easels throughout Heisler Park. Once the horn blows, they have exactly two hours to capture the shifting light and coastal beauty of Laguna Beach.

Admission: Completely FREE and open to the public. No registration required—just come walk the paths and watch the masters at work!
Part 2: The Celebration & Auction (Festival of Arts, 3PM-6PM)
Meet the Artists, Cast Your Vote, and Take Home a Masterpiece
Immediately following the competition, the action moves to the Laguna Festival of Arts grounds (free entry for all attendees) for an energetic afternoon celebration:

Artist Meet & Greet: Mingle with the artists, chat about their process, and celebrate their work.

Cast Your Vote: Have your say in the judging! Vote for your favorite painting to crown the People’s Choice Award, which will be officially announced at the Collectors Art Party on Saturday, October 10th.
- Quick Draw Silent Auction: This is your exclusive opportunity to bid on and acquire the freshly painted, framed artworks created just hours prior. Take home a tangible, beautiful memory of this live event!
