LPAPA is pleased to host a 3-day “Signature Artist in Residence” Plein Air Painting workshop in Laguna Beach with Signature Artist Suzie Baker, Wednesday October 18th through Friday October 20th, 2023.
What do you get when you take a workshop with Suzie? You will experience a fun-filled, guided, hands-on learning experience. Students receive instruction on principles of painting ranging from drawing, color, value, composition, color theory, and SO MUCH MORE. Every day you will apply what is being taught by getting outside to paint. You will see field demos and receive one-on-one instruction at your easel through the workshop.
Suzie’s painting demonstrations will be with oils, however, this workshop is also open to acrylic painters who can benefit from many of the same painting principles.
A recommended supply and materials list, as well as location details, will be provided in advance of the workshop. Students must provide their own art supplies, meals, and transportation to and from the workshop. Maximum of 16 students; requires a minimum of 10 students.

In addition to the workshop, the LPAPA Gallery will have a Laguna Invitational Showcase Exhibition that will include original works by Suzie Baker, October 19 – 30, 2023.
Workshop Tuition*: $500 for LPAPA Members, $550 for Non-Members
Maximum: 16 students; Minimum: 10 students
Dates: Wednesday October 18th, Thursday October 19th, and Friday October 20th
Times: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with a break for lunch
Locations: in and around Laguna Beach, California; meeting location details will be provided prior to the workshop

*Note: Tuitions must be paid in full to hold your spot in the workshop; pending registrations remaining unpaid after three (3) days are subject to cancellation. If you need to cancel, a full refund will be issued if LPAPA receives your cancellation more than 60 days prior to the start of the class (on or before August 17, 2023). If you cancel within 60 days of the start of the class (on or after August 18, 2023, and no later than September 17, 2023), you will receive a refund of your tuition LESS a $100 cancellation fee UNLESS someone on the waiting list fills your spot in the class in which case you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 4 weeks of the start date (on or after September 18, 2023), you forfeit your entire tuition UNLESS someone from the waiting list fills your spot in the class in which case you will receive a full refund.
