LPAPA Signature Artist Ebrahim Amin is hosting a Grand Opening celebration of his new gallery on Thursday April 6, 2017, 5-9pm.

Dawson Cole Fine Art in Laguna Beach will be presenting a collection of California landscape paintings by LPAPA Artist Member Jim Lamb in April. There will be an Artist Reception held on Thursday, April 6th from 6-9pm.

The Laguna Beach Arts Alliance (LBAA) will present the 11th Annual Art Star Awards to be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 6:00pm, at [seven-degrees] in Laguna Beach. At this red-carpet event, the winners will be announced and presented with one-of-a-kind Art Star award sculptures, created by Louis Longi. The nominated organizations, businesses and individuals contributed and shaped the arts and culture in Laguna Beach in 2016.

“This year’s nominees are a very deserving group that are all well known contributors to arts in our community,” said Arts Stars Committee Chair Wayne Baglin. “One category, Individual Arts Patron, was a clear winner based on nominations,“ he said.

LPAPA is delighted to have three nominees this year:
Artist of the Year Nominee — LPAPA’s Director of Education & Signature Artist Jeff Sewell,
Best Arts Program Nominee — LPAPA’s Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational, and
Arts Leadership Nominee — LPAPA’s President Toni Kellenberg

LPAPA Signature Artist member Larry Cannon‘s painting “Sedona Sentinel” was selected in the February/March Plein Air Salon (Plein Air Magazine) for the Best Watercolor Award. Finalists from the six bi-monthly contests go on to compete for $21,000 in awards at the Plein Air Convention in San Diego in April 2017. Larry previously received the Best Depiction of Water Award in the June/July Salon Competition.
