Paint Out - Archives

Join LPAPA Signature Artist Anthony Salvo for a fun and informative LPAPA+LOCA Mentor Paint Out at Heisler Park in Laguna Beach. Come enjoy painting the gorgeous ocean views of rocky cliffs, beaches and palm trees, facing the pacific ocean. Lots of organic landscape shapes to paint. Wonderful beach location for beginner and intermediate painters to paint together en plein air and receive feedback from Anthony. Come watch Anthony’s painting demonstration, then set up your outdoor painting gear and join the fun.

Recommended supply list will be sent after registration. This is an in-person outdoor mentor painting session with each registrant bringing his or her own painting gear and supplies.

Anthony will set up along the path bordering the cliffs surrounding the park
Heisler Park runs along Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach (metered street parking available)

LPAPA Signature Artist Debra Huse lead a LPAPA Paint Out in Newport Beach, California, on Friday, December 31, 2021, 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon. Details provided up registration.

Members and Nonmembers were invited to join the fun, meet fellow LPAPA Artists, and get treated to an oil painting demonstration by Debra Huse! Participants chose to come to watch the demo or bring their gear and paint along with Debra or set up and paint on their own!

Registration fee $10 for Members; $15 for Nonmembers (Note: Members must login to receive the discounted member price; registered LPAPA members will receive a $5 LPAPA Loyalty Rewards Credit in their account to use for future registration or renewal!). No limit to the number of attendees for this event!

Register to join LPAPA Signature Artist Calvin Liang in Laguna Beach, California, for an In-Person Plein Air Painting Demonstration & Paint Out on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021; 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm PDT.

This is event is limited to 15 attendees and LPAPA Members have an exclusive first opportunity to register.  Calvin will start with a painting demonstration, then artists are encouraged to set up their easel and paint together; Calvin will provide feedback as the artists paint.  LPAPA’s mentor paint-outs are presented as part of LPAPA’s Plein Air Project art education programs.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow LPAPA artists and paint outdoors together and learn Calvin’s approach to painting a Laguna Coastline landscape. Location and details to be provided upon registration. Please plan to bring a face mask to wear when social distancing is not possible.

LPAPA Signature Artist Rick J. Delanty is hosting a special opportunity for a limited number of LPAPA Members to register to join him for an exclusive private tour of his solo exhibition “Beauty Unites Us” at the Casa Romantica in San Clemente, and includes an invitation to paint with him on the lovely Casa grounds. This exclusive LPAPA Paint Out at the Casa will be for a maximum of 15 members with advance registration only for Wednesday May 26, 2021 (10:00am – 4:00pm, must be pre-registered for entry).

Registrants will be required to follow COVID protocols by wearing masks and social distancing during the event.
