Fredric Hope: Silent Storytellers

LPAPA Artist Member Fred Hope's Carlsbad Solo Exhibition
We are pleased to share that LPAPA Artist Member Fred Hope recently opened a sol0 exhibition titled “Fredric Hope – Silent Storytellers” at the William D. Cannon Gallery, a museum located in the Carlsbad Library Complex. This solo exhibition is in conjunction with a 5 month educational Residency. The exhibition runs until June 28, 2025, and features monthly Artist Talks and Open Studio Events that Fred will present for adults, families and school groups.

The Online Preview Auction of the Gallery finalists and City Hall semi-finalists will open at 80% of the painting’s full gallery price with $10 bid increments. The preview auction includes a “buy now” option at the full retail price. Unless other arrangements are made through LPAPA, paintings sold through the Auction and through the Gallery will be shipped or available for pick up after the gallery show ends. Unless other arrangements are made with LPAPA, paintings sold through the expanded City Hall and online show of semi-finalist paintings will be shipped by LPAPA at the end of the City Hall Show.

2025 LPAPA Strong Postcard Auction Raises Over $14,000!

6th Annual LPAPA Strong Painted Postcard Auction 2025

A big THANK YOU to the LPAPA Signature, Artist, and Student Members who painted postcards for the 6th Annual LPAPA Strong Painted Postcard Art Auction. The postcard art auction is an annual fundraiser that started in 2020 to help support LPAPA and it’s Member Artists. Nonprofit LPAPA has since opened its gallery home in Laguna Beach and expanded its art and education programs. Your support is crucial to sustaining nonprofit LPAPA! Place a bid to show LPAPA and the Artists some LOVE!

The online silent auction ends in time for the collector’s postcard to be mailed by Valentine’s Day. The painted 5″ x 7″ postcards will be showcased online through the Auction link below. Sign up for a free 32auctions account to place a bid on the Artist’s postcard that you fall in love with!

February 2025 Artist Member of the Month: Amanda Fish of Costa Mesa, California

Amanda enjoys creating still life paintings that have traditional look, but with a fresh painterly feel and delicate application. She retains a realistic yet lyrical quality by painting thin layers of transparent color. She follows the light with graceful movements allowing the viewer to wander and notice the nuances. She composes all of her still lifes, adding personal objects collected over many years with fruits and flowers. She likens her compositions as visual vignettes. luminescence.

Signature Showcase at the LPAPA Gallery

4th Annual Signature Showcase 2025

The LPAPA Gallery is pleased to present its 4th Annual “Signature Showcase” gallery exhibition featuring original plein air and studio works created by LPAPA Signature Artist Members. The show can be seen online beginning January 6, 2025, and at the LPAPA Gallery beginning Thursday January 9, 2025 through Monday March 3, 2025.

The show will open online Monday January 6th at 10:00 am PST with an online Virtual Gallery Art Catalog and Preview Silent Auction that will end at 8:00 pm PST on Thursday January 9th. LPAPA is hosting a Gallery Reception on Thursday January 9th, 6:00-9:00 pm, open to the public with free entry, to celebrate the show opening.
