Plan to join us Sunday October 14th, 2:00pm to 3:00pm, for a special Plein Talk presentation “Impressionism & A 19th Century Art Revolution” with Pierre Guidetti of Savoir-Faire from Paris, France. See how the 19th century changed the world of art making through the eyes of the Sennelier store in Paris, the world capital of Fine Art at the time. You will find some enjoyable historical facts and hear anecdotes of master painters from Cezanne, Monet and Van Gogh to Sargent, Cassatt and Hockney.
Pierre’s Plein Talk will be presented in the Festival of Arts Forum Theatre with free entry to the public with open seating (limited to 200 attendees). Come to enjoy the Talk and learn about art materials from our featured experts, and enjoy seeing the 20th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational Art Show. Our 50 invited artists will be there to show their “en plein air” paintings created in and around Laguna Beach during the week! There will be live painting demonstrations throughout the day; doors open at 10:00am until 5:00pm when the show ends!
Free entry to the public. Sunday will be your last chance to meet the artists and collect a California original work of art created during the Invitational by one of today’s master plein air artists. Proceeds from the sale of artwork benefits the artists and nonprofit Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.
