The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) is excited to present its 25th annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational the week of October 7 through 15. This year’s Invitational will feature 35 of the nation’s top award-winning plein air artists, plus a showcase exhibition of works by our five Founding Members Ken Auster, Jacobus Baas, Cynthia Britain, Saim Caglayan, and John Cosby.
The Artists are dedicated to painting the landscape, preserving Laguna’s artistic legacy and carrying on the plein air painting tradition. During this 9-day plein air art festival, the invited artists will paint outdoors in and around Laguna Beach. There will be opportunities to purchase original paintings created during the week, meet and greet with the artists, and watch as they create their plein air masterpieces. The work created during the week will be judged for awards and the art show will premiere at the Collectors Gala exhibition at the Laguna Festival of Arts on Saturday October 14th.
