Become a part of the Plein Air Legacy. The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving Laguna Beach’s rich artistic legacy and ensuring the plein air tradition thrives for generations to come. We’re a global community of artists and art enthusiasts.

There is a place for you in our community. LPAPA membership is open to artists of all experience levels and mediums, living anywhere in the world. Whether you are a professional master, a dedicated student, or a local resident or business owner wishing to join as a Supporter Member, your contribution directly fuels our mission.

Note for Artists: While we celebrate the “open-air” painting tradition, our juried exhibitions welcome both studio and plein air works (with the exception of our annual “Best of Plein Air” show).

Artist Membership is open to all artists at all painting experience levels. The annual Artist Membership Fee is $90.00 and renews on the anniversary date. (Details)

Student Membership is open to all artists at all painting experience levels, age 17 or older, who are enrolled in an accredited college or art school, or art education program approved by LPAPA. The Student Membership Fee is $45.00 per year and renews on the Member’s anniversary date. Student Members commit to a minimum of 3 Volunteer hours during the term of their 1-year membership. Supporter Membership is open to all individuals or businesses who wish to support LPAPA’s Mission and enjoy the benefits and opportunities that vary at each membership level starting at $50 for a 1-year membership. (Details)

Signature Membership is reserved for the professional artist who has been juried into this level of distinction by LPAPA’s renowned authorities on Impressionism and plein air art, and peers. The Signature Membership Fee is $175.00 per year and renews on the Member’s 1-year anniversary date. (Details)
