
The Plein Air Project ™ is the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association’s Education Program lead by its Director of Education and Signature Artist Member Jeff Sewell, Director of Community Relations and Artist Member Celeste Gilles, and LPAPA’s Executive Director Rosemary Swimm. LPAPA’s education programs support multi-generations with The Younger Generation for 4th Grade Students and up, The Next Generation for College level students, The Now Generation for Adult Mentoring Programs, Painting Workshops, Plein Talks and Paint Outs for professional, emerging and beginning plein air painters, and The Kids Paint Out for youth, grades 4 through 12, provides children with a plein air painting experience.
The Plein Air Project is supported with B.I.D. Grant Funding through the Laguna Beach City and Lodging Establishments, the Festival of Arts Foundation, LOCA Arts Education, The National Charity League Laguna Beach Chapter and with the generous support of the UCI Institute and Museum of California Art (IMCA), The Hilbert Museum, Blick Art Supplies, Members, Donors, Patrons, Sponsors and our Community, who contribute financial support, supplies, resources and volunteer time, to make these programs possible and available for free or at greatly reduced costs for the participants and schools.
