We all have seen the images of Lahaina on the news in the wake of the devastating wildfires. It’s heartbreaking to look at the scale of the loss—we are having a hard time wrapping our minds around the fact that the town has suffered one of the deadliest wildfires in US history. Many of the survivors have lost homes, many have lost businesses, and all are looking at an uncertain future in a place known for its history, culture, and vibrant art scene.
LPAPA Artists are invited to join artists and organizations from around the world by donating a painting to a special fundraiser — ARTISTS FOR LAHAINA — that has been established to provide much needed support to Maui and Lahaina specifically. Paintings need to be submitted online by August 25th (submission link below). The online Auction will open September 1 and end September 10th.
