“Art has always been a part of my life and the landscape has been a constant study for me. I’m drawn to vistas that show strength and peacefulness like the shoreline and the mountains.
My oils and watercolors are far from traditional teachings. My approach is unusual but ending results are spiritual. One might say I’m a tonalist painter, but I would describe myself as a blended traditionalist. My oils and watercolors reflect a visual softness with an earthy realism.My palette holds the paint but the blending of color takes place on canvas. Harmony of color and shape are achieved through a spontaneous yet controlled manner.
I want the viewer to be captured immediately and on closer observation be able to walk through the painting as if they were there themselves. Art is a blessing. When honed, studied and desired, it is a gift you are able to give to others.”
