Beginning in 2013, with the 15th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational, LPAPA began presenting a Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual who has made enormous contributions to the tradition of plein air painting through their talent, expertise and teachings, and a Lifetime Member Award to an individual who has been dedicated to supporting the mission, legacy and future of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association and the Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational.
