Next Generation Paint Out
Thursday, October 8th, 2026 | Heisler Park
What happens when you pair the next generation of artistic talent with world-class mentors in one of California’s most beautiful landscapes?
LPAPA’s Next Generation Paint Out brings registered students from the Laguna College of Art + Design (LCAD) to the bluffs of Heisler Park for a high-intensity day of outdoor painting. Co-led by professional mentor artists Mason Williams and Kelley Mogilka, this program provides a vital bridge between art school and a thriving professional career.
The Opportunities:
-
Scholarships: Student works are juried by a professional panel, with top artists receiving cash scholarship awards.
-
The Big Stage: Award-winning student painters earn an exclusive invitation to showcase and sell their work at the premier Collectors Art Party on Saturday, October 10th.
-
Art with Purpose: Every painting sold directly supports the student artist and feeds back into funding LPAPA’s educational outreach.
Preserving a Historic Legacy > This event is a vital component of LPAPA’s year-round Plein Air Project. By investing in these young creators, we protect and celebrate the rich, century-old artistic heritage of the Laguna Beach art colony while inspiring the next generation to carry on the legacy.
