LPAPA Signature Artist Daniel Marshall leads a fun and informative “Atmospheric Landscapes” LPAPA+LOCA Virtual Paint Together live-streamed on Friday April 23, 2021, 10:00AM – 12:00PM PST (11AM MT, 12PM CT, 1PM ET). In this virtual workshop Daniel will focus on 2 key elements. How to maintain color harmony and create atmospheric perspective in watercolor.
By demonstrating how to control the consistency of pigment in your washes, he will show you how it’s possible to create believable tone, a sense of depth and a real sense of space can be achieved. At the same time, he’ll be sharing key tips on how to use a limited palette and maintain color harmony throughout your painting.
Paint along with Daniel as he works start to finish, from initial composition and design to completed painting, on a beautiful, atmospheric landscape painting. Reference photo and suggested art supplies included with registration. All registrants will receive the session recording to rewatch!
Daniel will be using watercolors for his demo, but all painting mediums are welcome. Beginners and painters at all experience levels invited to get out their painting gear and join the virtual fun and lessons learned in this virtual in-studio painting session. Daniel is a prominent award winning watercolor artist currently based in Denver, CO. He is an avid plein air painter, being inspired by and painting the majority of his works on location. This has helped him develop a confident style with an immediacy and freshness infused into each painting. Dan considers himself a regional painter, however, benefiting from having lived on both coasts and now the great American West, his “region’ spans the country and speaks to many themes of Americana. He’s a Signature Member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association and American Watercolor Society, and a Member of the Salmagundi Club, American Impressionist Society, and Colorado Watercolor Society.
