We’ve invited 30 of the nation’s top award winning artists to spend a week painting the town! They will paint the coastline, canyons, neighborhoods and street scenes throughout Laguna Beach, and as far north as Huntington Beach and as far south as San Onofre, and east to Saddleback Mountain. The artists will then submit what they consider to be their three best plein air paintings created during the week for judging and prize consideration — over $40,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded during the Collectors Gala, with the top prize being the coveted $10,000 “Best in Show” award! Gala guests will be the first to know the award winners! So plan to spend an enchanting evening in plein air under the stars with top award winning artists, art lovers and some of the finest plein air fine art you will find anywhere!
Our 21st Annual Collectors’ Gala will be hosted at LPAPA’s “Invitational Home”, the Laguna Festival of Arts, on Saturday October 12th, 7:00pm to 10:30pm (Click here to learn how to receive VIP Gala Tickets for early pre-gala access for a private champagne reception and preview with the artists*). Must be 21 or older to attend. Cocktail attire and evening wraps suggested.
Gala attendees will have the first, and potentially only, opportunity to view the entire collection of paintings created during the week, and guests will have the first opportunity to purchase paintings in advance of the general public*.
In addition to the Gala art show exhibition, the artists will have additional paintings that they created during the week, as well as a selection of paintings from their personal studio, available for purchase in the “Invitational Library”. The paintings published in the 2019 Invitational Art Catalogue will also be exhibited and available for purchase. Artwork sold during the Gala will go home with the Collectors that evening. Ticket price includes complimentary valet parking and collectible Art Catalogue.
