Each year local Laguna Beach Unified School District Students are invited for a plein air painting experience at Heisler Park for the Annual Future Generation Invitational Paint Out. This year’s event will take place on Monday October 7th, with students from each grade level, 4 through 12, selected to participate by their schools to join LPAPA for an outdoor plein air painting experience. Each grade level is paired in groups with a professional artists who will demonstrate and mentor the students in the creation of a plein air painting from start to finish.

Our 2024 Mentor Artists include David Allen, Denise Bradley, Denise Busony, Kelley Mogilka, Gia Moody, Debbie Morines, Mason Williams, and Fay Wyles.

The students’ masterpieces will be on exhibit at the LPAPA Gallery located on Gallery Row at 414 N. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, Thursday October 10th through Monday, November 18th, 2024. The children’s paintings will be available for purchase through a donation made at the LPAPA Gallery with 100% of the proceeds donated to the student’s participating school (suggested donation is $50 but all amounts are appreciated). Parents are encouraged to make a purchase-donation to support their future generation artists!

Each participating student receives a plein air painting kit to take home to be inspired to continue outdoor painting. LPAPA is able to offer this program at no charge to the schools and students through the generous support provided by Art Supply Warehouse, Blick Art Materials, The City of Laguna Beach Lodging Establishments, The Festival of Arts Foundation, The National Charity League Laguna Chapter, and Donors. We are grateful for our Mentor Artists who volunteer their time to support the program.
