The LPAPA Gallery

LPAPA GalleryOn August 19, 2021, through the support of our Members, Supporters, Donors, Patrons, and Collectors, LPAPA reached a milestone in its 25+ year history with the opening of its first independent gallery home in Laguna Beach. The LPAPA Gallery is open Thursday through Monday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, or by appointment, and extended hours (6-9 pm) the First Thursday of each month for Artwalk Laguna Beach!

The gallery is located in the historic El Paseo at 414 North Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, on Gallery Row between Jasmine and Myrtle Streets (there’s a trolley stop on the corner of North Coast Highway & Jasmine). To learn more, click to read the article published by Stu News Laguna.

The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art organization. The sale of artwork supports the artists and nonprofit LPAPA, and helps to further its mission to preserve Laguna’s century-old plein air painting legacy, promote the plein air painting tradition, and connect outdoor painters from around the world with Laguna’s artistic legacy! We hope you will plan to visit the gallery, join LPAPA as an Artist, Student or Supporter, or consider making a donation, to assure that plein air painting — past, present, and future — will remain in the heart of the Laguna Beach community for centuries more to come! When you join LPAPA, you become part of the plein air legacy and tradition!

LPAPA Signature Artist Jason Sacran has been named the 2nd most awarded artist across USA-based art contests, over the last 13 years (15 Most Awarded Artists in the US). To make this elite list of artists, a company called ARTDATAintel considered different high-profile art competitions over a period of 13 years.

Here’s a detailed overview of Jason’s standing, according to ARTDATAintel’s recent Post:

Sacran ranks: 5th at American Impressionist Society competing against 302 award-winning artists; 7th at BoldBrush Art Contest against 1329 award-winning artists; 2nd at National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society against 479 award-winning artists; 6th at Oil Painters of America against 700 award-winning artists and 6th at PleinAir Salon against 563 award-winning artists.
