PleinAir Today featured the award winning paintings of LPAPA’s 14th Annual “Best of Plein Air”.  This is a special juried exhibition of original works of art created by Signature and Artist Members of LPAPA. 400 entries were received for this prestigious show with jurors Cynthia Britain (Signature and Founding Member of LPAPA), Carl Bretzke (LPAPA Signature Artist), and Ludo Leideritz (owner Forest & Ocean Gallery and LPAPA Board Member) choosing more than 60 original framed paintings for the show’s coveted gallery spots.

LPAPA Signature Artist Suzie Baker received 1st Place Best in Show for “Harvey was Here“; 2nd Place was presented to LPAPA Signature Artist Durre Waseem for “On the Crystal Cove Bench“; 3rd Place went to LPAPA Artist Bob Upton for “The Breakwater“; and Honorable Mention Awards were presented to LPAPA Signature Artist Greg LaRock for “All Quiet Now” and LPAPA Artist Tatyana Fogarty for “Monterey Fishing“.

LPAPA Signature Artist Member Carole Gray-Weihman‘s painting “Sweeping Parade”, painted on the property of Mountain Winery in Saratoga, was awarded the Artist’s Choice Award at the opening gala of the Annual Los Gatos Plein Air Exhibition, held at the Dio Deka Hotel, Los Gatos on June 16th. During the exhibition and sale held at the Los Gatos Town Plaza the following day, Gray-Weihman was additionally awarded 2nd Place for her 16×12 oil painting “Poetic Glimpse”, which she painted it in Almaden Quicksilver Park in San Jose.
