LPAPA is pleased to annouce and congratulate our new 2017 Signature Artist Members (left to right, starting top row): Joe Anna Arnett of New Mexico, Suzie Baker of Texas, David Boyd Jr. of Georgia, Bill Cramer of Arizona, Jennifer Diehl of Oregon, Aimee Erickson of Oregon, Mike Hernandez of California, and Kathie Odom of Tennessee.
The designation of “Signature Artist” in any artists’ association is a recognition of high status, an acknowledgment by your peers that you are worthy of special distinction for your remarkable talent and capability in creating a work of art. It is a distinction that the majority of members of any art group do not have and in turn would love to receive. Your peers look to Signature Artists for inspiration and to set a high standard that they themselves strive to achieve. — Mr. Jean Stern, Executive Director of The Irvine Museum Collection at the University of California, Irvine
Only a limited number of the highest scoring artists are juried to the status of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association Signature Artist Member each year.
Many thanks to our 2017 Distinguished Jurors:
Mr. Jean Stern, Executive Director of The Irvine Museum Collection at UCI
Saim Caglayan, LPAPA Founder, Board Chairman & Signature Artist
Jim McVicker, LPAPA Signature Member & Laguna Plein Air Invitational Best in Show 2014 & 2016
