Postcard Art Auction Dates: January 31st, 10am – February 3rd, 9pm

All LPAPA Signature, Artist, and Student Members are invited to participate in the 2022 3rd Annual LPAPA Strong & Positive Painted Postcard Auction. The annual “I Love LPAPA” theme is open to all subject matters with the auction ending in time for the collector’s postcard to arrive by Valentine’s Day. This year we’re asking our artists to paint their postcards in advance of the Auction so that participants will bid on the Artist’s postcard that they fall in love with! LPAPA’s goal is to have some fun raising friends, funds, and support the Artists and nonprofit LPAPA.

Please register to commit to paint a postcard for the auction before midnight Monday January 10th through the link below. As soon as you register, LPAPA will send you a postcard kit for you to use to paint an original 5″ x 7″ painted postcard on the paintable Canson postcard provided. Next, you will submit an image of your postcard-painting before midnight on Monday January 24th, 2022; you will then hold onto your painted postcard until you receive LPAPA’s notification after the auction ends February 3rd; you will then personalize and mail your painted postcard to the auction-winning-collector!

The deadline for Artists to commit is 11:59pm, Monday January 10, 2022. Artists “commit” by registering through the link below. Completed painted postcard image must be submitted by 11:59pm, Monday January 24th, 2022. Bidding will start at $50 with $10 minimum bid increments. Each artist will receive 50% of his or her painted postcard auction proceeds*. No entry fee!

*After the auction ends, and auction-winner payments are reconciled, LPAPA will contact the participating artists to confirm the amount of the shared auction proceeds to be distributed. Artists will have the option to receive a check or receive a credit to his/her LPAPA account that can be used for any purchase, including membership renewal; Artists may also choose to donate his/her proceeds to LPAPA and receive a tax deduction receipt for the donation.

All LPAPA Members are invited to participate in the 2021 LPAPA Strong & Positive Painted Postcard Auction. This year’s theme will be LPAPA Love with the auction ending on Valentines Day. Auction participants will bid on the Artist that they wish to have paint and send an original painted postcard with the goal to raise friends, funds and support for our Artists and nonprofit LPAPA. Together we will get through this. Together we will keep LPAPA Strong!

Deadline for Artists to commit is 11:59pm on Monday January 25, 2021. Artists “commit” by emailing their UN-Selfie photo to info@lpapa.org. Bidding will start at $50 with $10 bid increments. Each artist will receive 50% of his or her painted postcard auction proceeds. No entry fee!

LPAPA presents its annual juried art shows at its “LPAPA in Residence” home at the Forest & Ocean Gallery in the heart of Laguna’s art district, however, due to the restrictions and limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, this show will be presented as a Virtual Gallery Show with special LPAPA pricing. Proceeds from the sale of artwork benefits the artists and nonprofit LPAPA.

LPAPA’s mission is dedicated to painting the landscape, preserving Laguna’s artistic legacy and promoting the plein air painting tradition. LPAPA strives to enhance the livelihood of its artist members and inspire the next generation of plein air painters!
