Something about the paintings of Camille Przewodek stops you, then brings a smile to your face. Maybe it is the vitality of the colors, or the feeling of intrigue one gets from the houses; windows and doorways beckon us to enter, while retaining dark secrets about what is inside. She doesn’t quibble about the paintings being happy. She won’t even set up her easel unless there is something about the scene that grabs her heart and gnaws at her aesthetic adoration of light on color.

1st Place Award Winner – LPAPA’s Art & Nature – November 2018
Honorable Mention Award – Sorolla’s Legacy, LPAPA Inspired by a Master – January 2016

Robin is an award winning artist that paints watercolors in the plein air tradition. “I was probably warped by doing paint by numbers as a child,” quips Robin, alluding to the intriguing patchwork-like quality and bold colors of her engaging watercolors. “My painting style is all about editing the shapes I see in nature to make a statement about the movement. It’s important to observe them from life so I can choose which ones make sense to put in, and, just as important, which ones to leave out.” — Robin Purcell (ArtistsNetwork.com)
