Deborah Newman has a BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design and a BA from the University of Oregon. She worked as an art director for Saatchi and Saatchi in San Francisco before taking up painting as a full-time commitment in 1998. She has studied with Scott Christensen, Kevin Macpherson, Matt Smith, and Randy Sexton, and participated in many plein air painting events. A member of the Salmagundi Club, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, Oil Painters of America, and American Impressionist Society, Deborah’s work can be seen in Fine Art Connoisseur and Southwest Art.

Something about the paintings of Camille Przewodek stops you, then brings a smile to your face. Maybe it is the vitality of the colors, or the feeling of intrigue one gets from the houses; windows and doorways beckon us to enter, while retaining dark secrets about what is inside.
Camille doesn’t quibble about the paintings being happy. She won’t even set up her easel unless there is something about the scene that grabs her heart and gnaws at her aesthetic adoration of light on color. “If I don’t care, I don’t paint,” she says bluntly.

“I paint to capture life’s magic … to transport you inside my oil paintings — to feel that breeze, hear the sounds, watch what happens, smell the beer. My dancer dances. I travel everywhere with my easel, setting it up in markets, on busy streets, in a restaurant or bar, at the farm to paint the animals as they wander around in the field.
