27th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Invitational: Invitational “Catalog Art” Show at the LPAPA Gallery
September 4th – October 11th, 2025

Get an exclusive sneak peek at the 27th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational with our special pre-Invitational Catalog Art Show at the LPAPA Gallery! This exhibition showcases stunning artwork created by the featured Invitational Artists, all to be highlighted in the limited-edition 2025 Invitational Art Catalog.

The excitement begins with an online Preview Auction opening on Monday, September 1st, at 10:00 AM PDT.

Then, join us for the LPAPA Gallery opening on Thursday, September 4th, where you can experience the artwork in person. The online Preview Auction will end at 8:00 PM PDT. The show continues through Saturday, October 11th.

Special Gallery Hours & Events:

  • First Thursday Art Walk: Join us for extended hours on Thursday, September 4th and October 2nd, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, for Laguna Beach Art Walk!
  • Invitational Week: The main 27th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational runs from October 4th through 12th, culminating in the Collectors pARTy on Saturday, October 11th, at the Laguna Festival of Arts.

Regular Gallery Hours: Thursday – Monday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Also available by appointment.

Important Notes for Invitational Week (October 4th – 12th): Gallery hours are subject to change during the Invitational. The LPAPA Gallery will be closed on Sunday, October 5th, and Sunday, October 12th.

July 2025 Featured Artist : Meisha Grichuhin of Oceanside, California

Meisha Grichuhin was born in San Jose, California in 1987, studying painting at the Academy of Art University and graduating with the honor of Valedictorian. Meisha describes her style as “impressionistic realism,” and strives to capture the light and essence of a subject while retaining the artist’s viewpoint and evidence of the artist’s hand. She loves painting “en plein air” especially, using all five senses to absorb the landscape. This immersion allows her to truly study her subject and bask in the radiance of nature. Meisha lives with her husband and their four cats in Southern California where the temperate climate allows for year round outdoor painting.

July 2025 Featured Signature Artist : Debra Huse of Costa Mesa, California

Debra Huse is a contemporary American Impressionist. She uses rich color and bold fluid strokes to capture the light and drama in her plein air and studio oil paintings. Debra enjoys painting on location and has painted in many plein air events across the country. Huse and her husband Randy enjoy traveling on their sport fishing boat GROUPER where Debra often paints scenes from the water. Huse currently has a studio in a Newport Beach, CA Boatyard. Debra Huse has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, Plein Air Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur & Art of the West Magazine.

We are so grateful for the talent and commitment of our invited artists, and their dedication to helping LPAPA preserve Laguna’s century-old artistic legacy and plein air painting tradition. During the invitational week the artists will be painting in and around Laguna Beach and the surrounding communities, coastlines, and canyons, as they paint to compete for cash awards and prizes.
