March 2026 Featured Signature Artist: Anthony Salvo

March 6, 2026 by Bonnie Langner

Signature Artist of the month Anthony Salvo at his easel

LPAPA Featured Signature Artist For March 2025 Anthony Salvo

March 2026 Featured Artist : Anthony Salvo of Costa Mesa, California

Anthony combines the color sense, composition and esthetic qualities acquired from years of design experience into his newly found love of painting “en plein air.”  Plein Air painting has given Anthony the enthusiasm to spend much more time, thought and consideration on the ordinary beautiful day or object that life puts in front of him — and passionately portray them on canvas.  When he is not painting “en plein air”, you can find him in his studio, painting delectable – foodie still life creations, and vintage trucks and cars.

“Catching the light while painting – I want to be deliberate, fresh and spontaneous in my approach – to convey that unspoken energy into every painting, telling my story – letting the viewer write the words, documenting the ever-changing landscape”–Anthony Salvo

August 2025 Featured Artist: Mikyoung Osburn

August 7, 2025 by Bonnie Langner

August Featured Artist Member of the Month Mikyoung Osburn

August 2025 Featured Artist : Mikyoung Osburn of Los Angeles, California

“To me, real happiness lies in the experience of ‘perfect moments’—fleeting instances shaped not by external circumstances, but by our individual philosophies and values. We all capture these moments with our eyes and hold onto them, reassuring ourselves that they were as perfect as we remember.
My body of work reflects such moments from the world I have seen and felt. Looking back, I realize that my emotions have shaped how I perceived the world. My life has oscillated between happiness and sadness, and through this emotional rhythm, I’ve come to understand that the imperfect world I once saw was, in fact, always perfect. It was never the world that changed, but how I chose to see and feel certain moments—rolling between joy, sorrow, and everything in between.
For a long time, I struggled with the idea that my work was lacking in skill and technique. But through meaningful conversations and genuine empathy from others, I came to realize that sincerity holds greater value than technical perfection. This realization rekindled my purpose: to convey emotion through my work.”–Mikyoung Osburn
