April 2023 Signature Artist Member of the Month:  Chuck Kovacic of Los Angeles, CA

Chuck Kovacic obtained grants and scholarships allowing him to acquire his BFA in graphic design from the Cleveland Institute of Art.  As an art director for several northern Ohio advertising agencies, he collaborated upon print campaigns for Owens Corning, Ford, National City Bank and detailed urban revitalization programs for numerous Midwest communities as part of the “Main Street” program for the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  He relocated to Southern California where he employed his artistic skills as a restoration expert focusing upon items associated with pre-1940 merchandising, breweriana and distillery related antiques.  His clients include serious collectors of the genre as well as prominent auction houses.

April 2023 Artist Member of the Month: Erich Neubert of Dana Point, California

Erich has been an artist since childhood.  In 1996 he graduated with a  Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design from Cal State Fullerton, upon which he promptly went into a career of computers.  After many years, and one too many meetings, he decided to follow his passion and pursue his art career.  After taking a plein air class, he was hooked on painting California Impressionism and hasn’t looked back, well sort of. After a stint in business doing OnlineJuriedShows.com, Erich has returned to his full time passion of trying to be a full time artist.

March 2023 Signature Artist Member of the Month:  Carolyn Hesse-Low of LaJolla, CA

Nationally recognized artist Carolyn Hesse-Low graduated from University of California and continued her training at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In the style of the early California Impressionists, her landscapes, figures and marine subjects capture the changing mood and rugged beauty of what she sees. “I am attracted to the feeling that a scene offers. What appeals to me is a subject that has depth to explore, one that can reveal the feelings within ourselves.” Carolyn’s paintings have been shown in over 100 museum exhibitions and in countless galleries and art institutes nationally. She has been selected to paint in plein air invitational and juried events throughout the country.
